Hypoallergenic Siberian Kittens in Central Indiana
Our story
Several years ago, I realized I was developing an allergy to cats. I was completely heartbroken to think I would no longer be able to live with them. I had no idea at the time that there are hypoallergenic cats! This is when I discovered Siberians, and my journey began. The more I researched Siberians, the more I fell in love with them. From their regal looks to their dog-like personalities, they seemed like a perfect fit for me. When I purchased my first Siberian, I was pleasantly surprised to find that I had no allergy issues (even though she spent most of her days napping on my bed)! The joy I felt having a cat in my home again was unbelievable.
There was no way I could keep this to myself! As I shared, I quickly found there were so many other cat lovers unable to have a cat in their home due to allergies. Since I started breeding, I have been able to share this joy with so many others.
It is my wish to raise beautiful, healthy, and well-socialized Siberian kittens to be adopted into loving homes. We have accomplished this with the help of a network of families who raise 1-2 mother cats as their pets and care for the kittens in their homes until they are ready to be adopted. We have found this to be very beneficial to both the cats and to these families who are primarily made up of stay at home moms, retired couples, friends, or family.
We are so excited you’re visiting our website, and we know you will love Siberians as much as we do!
Breed Information
Siberians were first introduced to the U.S. from Russia around 1990. They have become well known for their hypoallergenic qualities as well as their dog-like personalities.
Siberian cats have lower levels of Fel D-1 than most other breeds of cats. Fel D-1 is a protein found in the saliva of cats that causes allergies in humans. When cats groom themselves the protein dries on the coat and becomes airborne. All Siberian cats and kittens have different levels of Fel D-1, but even a Siberian with a higher level of this protein still has a significantly lower level than most other cats.
Siberians are a medium to large breed cat. They rank in size just below a Maine Coon. Males are generally bigger than females. They are gentle, loving, and want to be on your lap most of the time. Siberians have longer back legs enabling them to be excellent jumpers. They love heights and some enjoy playing in water! They come in a large variety of patterns and colors.
